I have, since a young boy, been a wanderer physically and mentally and since a young man, my preferred modes of transportation have been a motorcycle or a book. I have yet to lose my wanderlust and the wonderment of this amazing world. Both these afflictions are the reasons (among others) I am compelled to write. I am amazed by the grandeur of the mountains, the expanse of the oceans, deserts, and prairies, and the small things, the beauty of a family sitting down to a meal, a farmer in his or her field, old men sitting on a bench. Something deeper resides in most ordinary things. You just have to slow down enough to see it
